Casting Calls for NYFA Thesis films and 1st Semester final films

Hi Everyone,

NYFA filmmakers are shooting their final 1st semester and thesis films in the next 10 days and beyond. If you would like some film/digital work on your showreel, please feel welcome to check out casting calls within this group posted by Directors. Otherwise, post your details on the wall, if you are interested in being cast in one of their films or any film opportunity, which may come along.

Whilst I cannot personally condone actors/directors who post notices within this group, I am happy to forward Major Casting Calls for the benefit of information to all members. I strongly recommend that both Directors and Actors provide as much detailed information to each other as possible, to ensure all goes smoothly and what is being offered is clear and happily agreed upon, leading to a successful collaboration.

Also, I have an ever growing database of actors, which I reference for shoots I am working on or directing and welcome actors to continue to email me with their most recent head shots, 1pg resumes and contact details if they wish to.

I am very proud to announce that also on WEDNESDAY 22ND OCTOBER at the celebration party for my recent FASHION TV BEST MALE MODEL AWARD we will not only be celebrating this and some of my other fashion related achievements this year but also the launch of model KATE MOSS new book 'KATE MOSS STYLE', a glossy, photo-filled hardback book penned by stylist, journalist, author and all-round fashionista Angela Buttolph which is released this month as well as a fabulous solid gold statue of Kate worth 1.5 million which has just been unveiled at the British Museum, in London. The piece, entitled SIREN, by artist Marc Quinn, which i've had the pleasure of seeing and it's mesmerizing to look at to say the least, is said to be the largest gold sculpture created since the time of Ancient Egypt and weighs in at 110 pounds (50 kilograms).

It doesn't stop there...

On the night there will also be a special Model Search for the FRESH NEW FACE to grace the cover of the first edition of M:/P MAGAZINE, a brand new exciting bilingual magazine launching in Paris in January 2009 focusing on high fashion and up and coming designers aswell as thought provoking pieces. The winner will also have a featured spread in the magazine and receive gifts from up and coming Parisian and London designers with the chance to appear in other magazines in Paris as well as fashion shows. The winner would also feature in a new street style magazine launching in the UK at the end of May 2009.

Further celebrations... a very special congratulations to Make-Up and Body Artist, SARAH TERRY who's fabulous work features on the cover of the latest edition of ILLUSION magazine with a special feature on her work. I've had the opportunity to work with Sarah on two occasions now once during London Fashion Week. Definitely a rising star as stated on the cover.
